2040 European-Series Anodised Aluminium Profile, 6 mm Slot – 20 × 40 mm, 1 m

Description

Anodised aluminium structural profile with a nominal 20 × 40 mm cross-section and a length of 1 metre. Its double section provides greater stiffness in one direction than a 2020 profile, making it suitable for cross-members, bases and uprights subjected to higher loads.

It has six open slots: one on each 20 mm side and two on each 40 mm side. This arrangement allows accessories and reinforcements to be installed in different orientations.

It can be combined with 20 mm sliding nuts with M3, M4 or M5 threads, plus HTA3D brackets, plates and connectors specified for 20 mm profiles.

It shares its accessory family with our 2020 structural profile.

Some printers, including different Ender 3 versions, use 20 × 40 mm external profiles as wheel guides. This profile should only be considered a replacement for a specific machine when the running surfaces, wheel spacing, length, holes and machining also match.

Guaranteed internal compatibility applies to the HTA3D 20-series ecosystem. Profiles and accessories from other manufacturers must be checked separately.

Machining and assembly

• Orient the 40 mm side towards the direction requiring greater stiffness.
• Make square cuts using a suitable aluminium-cutting tool.
• Remove burrs before assembly.
• Do not consider the centre bores threaded unless they have been specifically machined.
• Check compatibility before running wheels or carriages directly on the profile.
• Square the frame before final tightening.
