Set of 18 cut aluminium extrusions for building a dual-Z HyperCube Evolution frame with an approximate 300 × 300 × 300 mm print volume. It combines 3030 extrusions for the main frame and 2020 extrusions for the bed platform, following the cut list for the project's dual-Z variant.
Only the extrusions listed in the table are supplied. This is neither a complete printer nor a complete mechanical kit.
Contents and dimensions
| Section | Nominal length | Quantity | Preparation |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3030 | 420 mm | 4 | Cut to length |
| 3030 | 410 mm | 6 | Cut to length |
| 3030 | 500 mm | 4 | One M8-threaded end |
| 2020 | 415 mm | 2 | Cut to length |
| 2020 | 255 mm | 2 | Cut to length |
Total: 14 × 3030 and 4 × 2020 extrusions, providing a combined extrusion length of 7.48 m. Cutting tolerance is ±2 mm.
HyperCube Evolution compatibility
The quantities and lengths match the extrusion list for the approximately 300 × 300 × 300 mm dual-Z HyperCube Evolution. Compared with the single-Z variant, this configuration adds structure to support the bed platform on both sides.
The original HyperCube Evolution project by SCOTT_3D is a parametric CoreXY printer with several revisions, options and community modifications. Before printing parts or buying the remaining components, compare your chosen variant's bill of materials and files with these five lengths, the 3030 and 2020 sections and the four M8-threaded ends.
The 300 × 300 × 300 mm figure is a project reference, not a guaranteed usable volume. Final travel depends on the linear motion system, bed, carriage, hotend, brackets, endstops and assembly.
What is not included
Unless an option explicitly states otherwise, this item does not include brackets, nuts, screws, linear rods or rails, bearings, lead screws, motors, pulleys, belts, bed, electronics, power supply, wiring, hotend, extruder, panels or printed parts.
Checks and assembly
- Inventory and measure the extrusions before assembly. Group them by section and length to avoid mixing up similar cuts.
- Confirm that your printed parts, joints and supports are designed for the correct 3030 and 2020 series and slot widths.
- Assemble the frame on a flat surface and keep the joints slightly loose while squaring it.
- Check diagonals, parallelism and perpendicularity before tightening progressively. Frame geometry directly affects linear-motion alignment.
- Inspect the cut ends and carefully remove any burr before handling or assembly.
This kit is for you if
- You want to build an approximately 300 × 300 × 300 mm dual-Z HyperCube Evolution.
- You prefer receiving the frame split into the project's main extrusion lengths.
- You plan to select printed parts, mechanics, electronics and joining hardware separately.
This kit is not for you if
- You need a ready-to-assemble printer with every component included.
- Your design is a single-Z HyperCube, a different size or a remix with another cut list.
- You need an exact 300 × 300 × 300 mm guarantee without checking the remaining geometry.
Compatible joining hardware from our catalogue
For the main frame, combine the 3030 extrusions with our reinforced Series 30 bracket and Series 30 M5 hammer nuts. For the 2020 platform, use the reinforced Series 20 bracket and Series 20 M5 hammer nuts. Calculate the required quantities from the joints and printed parts used by your exact revision.
