WINKLE PLA HD RE recycled 1.75 mm filament – 1 kg spool, Light or Dark

WINKLE PLA HD RE recycled is a 1.75 mm filament made in Spain from surplus material generated by WINKLE's own filament production. The manufacturer reprocesses those production leftovers into PLA spools for FDM/FFF 3D printers. This is production-scrap recycling, not a claim that the feedstock comes from post-consumer waste.

It is supplied on a 1 kg spool in two broad colour ranges: Recycled Light and Recycled Dark. The actual shade may differ from the product image and vary between batches. Choose the general look you prefer, but do not rely on this filament when a precise colour code or identical repeat orders are essential.

WINKLE's recommended print settings

• Nominal diameter: 1.75 mm, declared tolerance ±0.05 mm.
• Nozzle temperature: 200–230 °C as a starting range.
• Bed temperature: 50–60 °C.
• Recommended nozzle diameter: 0.4 or 0.6 mm.
• Pack size: 1 kg spool.

These values come from the technical sheet for this specific PLA HD RE version. Adjust them for your printer, hotend, build surface and print speed. WINKLE recommends a temperature tower to assess the visual result and select a suitable setting. A clean bed and a correctly adjusted first layer remain important.

What to expect from recycled production material

WINKLE states that diameter, colour and winding are checked during production. Colour variation is inherent to this range; a single photograph cannot represent every spool or batch. The filament is well suited to prototypes, models, learning projects and visual or light-duty parts where a variable shade is acceptable. For a repeatable colour, consider WINKLE PLA HD in defined colours.

Suitability for high heat, substantial loads or food contact depends on the printed design and specific requirements. This spool does not itself certify the finished part for those uses.

Storage and use

Keep the filament sealed and dry between prints. WINKLE's technical sheet specifies a reusable bag and desiccant. If the spool has absorbed moisture, stringing, bubbles or a poorer surface finish may appear; use a PLA-appropriate drying procedure before changing several print settings at once. Print in a ventilated space.

Is it right for you?

Choose it if you want a Spanish-made PLA that reuses the manufacturer's own production surplus and you welcome some shade variation within Light or Dark. Choose another filament if you need exact colour matching between spools, food-contact certification or a guaranteed high-temperature performance for the finished part.
