M3 knurled nut designed to simplify manual heated-bed adjustment. Its ridged outer edge can be turned by hand to change spring or spacer compression without holding a conventional hexagonal nut with a tool.

Features and dimensions

  • Thread: M3.
  • Maximum outside diameter: approximately 10.75mm.
  • Height: approximately 6.10mm.
  • Knurled edge for improved grip.
  • Tool-free adjustment when the mounting point is accessible.

Sales unit

The price is for one nut. A minimum order of four units applies, matching the usual quantity required by a four-point adjustable heated bed.

Compatibility

Suitable for heated beds and adjustment mechanisms using M3 threaded screws. Before installation, check:

  • That the screw thread is actually M3.
  • That there is enough room to turn an approximately 10.75mm adjustment wheel.
  • That the screw is long enough to provide adequate thread engagement.
  • That the nut cannot contact the carriage, frame, wiring or moving components.

It may complement the M3 heated-bed mounting and levelling kit when finger adjustment is preferred.

Operation

Turning the nut changes spring or spacer compression and therefore the local height of that point on the heated bed. Make small adjustments and check all four corners to avoid twisting the plate.

This nut does not make the system self-locking by itself. Depending on vibration, orientation and mounting arrangement, periodic adjustment checks or an additional compatible retention system may be required.

Recommendations

  • Make adjustments while the bed is stationary and at a safe temperature.
  • Do not force the nut against the end of the thread.
  • Maintain enough compression to prevent play in the heated bed.
  • Repeat bed levelling or first-layer calibration after changing any mounting point.
