POWGE GT2 16-tooth drive pulley for 10 mm belts, made of aluminium alloy and designed to be secured to a 5 mm shaft.

It combines a wider belt with a compact 16-tooth format. It can be used in large-format 3D printers, CNC machines and custom transmissions requiring a wider belt.

Installation and compatibility

It is dimensionally compatible with Ø5 mm shafts, commonly found on many NEMA 17 motors. Check the actual shaft diameter and available clearance around the hub.

It can be used with the 10 mm POWGE GT2 belt, 10 mm low-vibration POWGE GT2 RF belt and other GT2 belts using the same pitch and width.

It is not a direct replacement for systems designed for 6 mm belts. Common Voron configurations use the narrower belt, so this 10 mm pulley is only suitable for a modification specifically designed around it.

Firmware configuration

With direct drive, this pulley theoretically moves 32 mm of belt per revolution. With a 1.8° motor and 16 microsteps, this corresponds to 100 steps/mm.

  • Marlin: configure steps with DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT or M92.
  • Klipper: use a theoretical rotation_distance: 32.
  • RepRapFirmware: use M92 in config.g.

Belt width alone does not change the steps-per-millimetre setting. The determining factors are belt pitch, tooth count, transmission ratio, motor and microstepping.
