POWGE GT2 20-tooth idler pulley with an integrated bearing, intended for 6 mm belts and brackets using a nominal 3 mm axle or screw.
It is designed to guide or tension the toothed side of the belt in 3D printers, CNC machines and other GT2 mechanisms specifying a 20T idler with an M3 mounting.
Features
- Brand: POWGE.
- Type: toothed idler pulley with bearing.
- Profile: GT2 / 2GT, 2 mm pitch.
- Number of teeth: 20.
- Compatible belt width: 6 mm.
- Bearing inner diameter: 3 mm.
- Toothed section outer diameter: Ø12.15 ± 0.05 mm.
- Nominal mounting: 3 mm axle or screw, usually M3.
- Material: aluminium alloy.
- Bearing: integrated.
- Side flanges: yes.
Installation
The screw should secure the bearing inner race without pressing against the flanges or preventing the pulley body from rotating. Use the required spacers to centre the pulley relative to the belt path.
After installation, check that it rotates freely and that the belt does not continuously rub against either flange. Apply enough tension to remove play, but not so much that it overloads the bearing or unnecessarily increases belt flexing.
Compatibility
It is compatible with 2 mm-pitch, 6 mm-wide GT2 belts, especially the 6 mm POWGE GT2 belt and 6 mm POWGE GT2 RF belt.
It can be used in certain RepRap or Prusa i3-derived designs with an M3 axle, provided that the documentation specifies a 20-tooth idler. Some machines use a smooth pulley or a different size in an apparently similar position.
For brackets using an M5 screw, select the POWGE 20T toothed idler with a 5 mm bore. Bore differences should not be compensated for with excessive tightening, improvised bushes or incorrectly sized screws.
It is not a motor drive pulley and should not replace a smooth idler when the back of the belt is the contact surface.
