Sensor compatibility

Sensor compatibility is mechanical and depends on the encapsulated body having a nominal diameter of 3 mm. It can be used, for example, with the 3 mm encapsulated NTC 3950 thermistor with Dupont connector or the 3 mm encapsulated NTC 3950 thermistor with XH connector.

The selected sensor must also be supported by the printer electronics and firmware. NTC thermistors and PT100 sensors use different reading systems, so a PT100 may require a dedicated interface and the corresponding firmware configuration.

V5 and V6 hotend compatibility

V5 and V6 heater blocks using an M6 thread are dimensionally interchangeable. Please note that the V6 block is 0.5 mm shorter than the V5 version.

It accepts M6-threaded V6 nozzles, including the available 0.4 mm, 0.5 mm, 0.6 mm and 0.8 mm versions.

It can be protected with the V6 heater block silicone sock for a 3 mm encapsulated sensor.

The stronger threaded area allows secure installation, but the recommended tightening torque for the nozzle and remaining hotend components must always be observed.
