Compatibility

The 4020 designation indicates nominal dimensions of 40 × 40 × 20 mm. Installation requires a matching 24V supply, mounting arrangement, outlet orientation and duct geometry.

It is not a direct dimensional replacement for a 4010 fan where the bracket only accommodates a 10 mm thickness. For restricted installations, the GDSTIME 4010 24V centrifugal blower fan may be more appropriate.

The additional thickness does not automatically improve every machine. Final performance also depends on duct design, pressure losses and the position of the outlet relative to the area being cooled.

Installation and control

Confirm that the selected output provides 24V and supports the fan current. Connector polarity must also be checked before operation.

When using PWM control, set the minimum operating value after confirming reliable fan startup. For part cooling, increase the airflow progressively, as excessive cooling can negatively affect some materials or cool parts of the hotend that should remain hot.
