Silicone Sock for V6 Heater Block with 3 mm Encapsulated Sensor Opening

Silicone sock for heater blocks with V6-type geometry and an opening for 3 mm encapsulated temperature sensors. It helps keep the block cleaner from filament residue and reduces direct exposure to part-cooling airflow.

It is intended for V6 blocks prepared for 3 mm encapsulated sensors, such as the V6 heater block for 3 mm sensors. Compatibility depends on the actual block shape and the available space around the sensor, heater cartridge and nozzle.

The sock opening refers to the sensor's mechanical passage and does not by itself define the sensor's electrical type. It can be used with an NTC thermistor, PT100 or another 3 mm encapsulated sensor if its dimensions match, but the electronics and firmware must be configured for the installed sensor. For example, a 3 mm encapsulated NTC 3950 thermistor is not configured in the same way as a PT100.

Fit it with the hotend completely cold and make sure it does not touch or obstruct the nozzle, thermistor, sensor or heater cartridge. The sock must not hide a leak: first check that the nozzle-to-heatbreak joint is correctly assembled and dry.

It is a consumable. Replace it if it is cut, deformed, hardened or heavily contaminated. Its purpose is to protect and partially insulate the block; it does not fix leaks or establish a guaranteed maximum temperature for the complete assembly.

It is for you if: you use a V6 heater block with an opening for a 3 mm encapsulated sensor and want protection from filament residue and airflow.

It is not for you if: your block has a different geometry, the sensor does not match the opening, or you expect the sock to solve a reading, installation or leak problem.
