2004 LCD Smart Controller with SD Card Reader for RAMPS and RepRap Controllers

Description

The 2004 LCD Smart Controller allows a 3D printer to be operated without a permanent computer connection. It features a 20×4 character LCD display, an integrated SD card reader and a rotary encoder for menu navigation.

When supported by the firmware, print jobs can be selected and started directly from the SD card, while machine settings and status information are accessed through the built-in user interface.

Function within the system

This module provides a local control interface for the printer, enabling access to motion controls, temperature settings, SD card printing and other firmware functions. It is widely used in RepRap-based electronics.
