Brass M6 Volcano-Type Nozzle for 1.75 mm Filament – 0.4 mm

Description

Brass nozzle with an extended Volcano-type geometry, M6 thread and 0.4 mm outlet. It is designed for hotends using Volcano-style nozzles and 1.75 mm filament.

The 0.4 mm diameter provides a good balance between detail, ease of configuration and printing speed. It is a versatile choice for general-purpose parts, prototypes and models combining fine features with reasonable print times.

Compatibility

Compatible with hotends and heater blocks using Volcano-type nozzle geometry, an M6 thread and 1.75 mm filament. An M6 thread alone does not guarantee compatibility: threaded length, sealing surface and heater-block geometry must also match.

It must not be confused with standard V6, MK8, SuperVolcano, Revo or printer-specific nozzles. It can be used with our M6 Volcano-type heater block and configurable Volcano-type hotend when the selected configuration is dimensionally compatible.

Recommended materials

Brass provides good thermal transfer and is suitable for common non-abrasive materials such as PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and TPU, within the limits of the complete hotend and filament.

It is not recommended for prolonged use with carbon-fibre, glass-fibre, metal-filled, glow-in-the-dark or other abrasive filaments, as these materials can wear the outlet and gradually alter its diameter.

Installation and configuration

• Follow the hot-tightening procedure specified by the hotend manufacturer.
• The nozzle must seal against the heatbreak, not merely against the outer face of the heater block.
• Hold the heater block with a suitable tool during tightening to avoid stressing the heatbreak.
• Select 0.4 mm as the nozzle diameter in the slicer.
• Check first-layer height and Z-offset after replacement.
• Check for material leaks during the first heating and extrusion cycle.
