Brass M6 Volcano-Type Nozzle for 1.75 mm Filament – 0.5 mm

Description

Brass nozzle with an extended Volcano-type geometry, M6 thread and 0.5 mm outlet. It is intended for Volcano and compatible hotends using 1.75 mm filament.

The 0.5 mm size sits between the standard detail of a 0.4 mm nozzle and the increased flow of a 0.6 mm nozzle. It is useful for functional parts, prototypes and applications requiring slightly wider extrusion lines without moving directly to a large nozzle.

Compatibility

Compatible with heater blocks using M6 Volcano-type nozzles for 1.75 mm filament. Nozzle length, internal sealing surface and correct contact with the heatbreak must be checked before installation.

It is not automatically interchangeable with every M6 nozzle. It can be combined with our M6 Volcano-type heater block or configurable Volcano-type hotend when the selected configuration is compatible.

Materials and configuration

Suitable for PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, TPU and other non-abrasive filaments supported by the hotend. Brass is not recommended for filaments containing fibres, metal particles or abrasive pigments.

• Select 0.5 mm as the nozzle diameter in the slicer.
• Create or adapt a dedicated profile instead of using a 0.4 mm profile unchanged.
• Review line width, layer height, flow, printing speed and volumetric-flow limit.
• Check Z-offset and first-layer height after replacement.

Installation

The nozzle must be tightened following the hotend manufacturer's hot-tightening procedure and must seal against the heatbreak. Hold the heater block with a suitable tool during tightening to avoid bending or damaging the heatbreak.
