Description

Brass Volcano-type nozzle with an M6 thread and 1.0 mm outlet for 1.75 mm filament systems. It is intended for printing large parts using wide extrusion lines and thicker layers.

The 1.0 mm diameter can produce strong walls and reduce the number of required extrusion paths, although it reduces the ability to reproduce small details. Performance depends heavily on the hotend's ability to melt the requested volume of material.

Compatibility

Compatible with systems using M6 Volcano-type nozzles for 1.75 mm filament. Threaded length, heatbreak sealing surface, heater-block geometry and heating capacity must be checked.

It can be combined with our M6 Volcano-type heater block, Volcano silicone sock and configurable Volcano-type hotend, depending on the selected configuration.

Configuration and use

  • Select 1.0 mm as the nozzle diameter in the slicer.
  • Create a dedicated profile for line width, layer height, flow and speed.
  • Limit printing speed according to the actual volumetric-flow capacity of the hotend and filament.
  • Check that the extruder can feed the material without slipping or deforming it.
  • Review first-layer, Z-offset and cooling settings.

A larger opening does not automatically guarantee faster printing. If the hotend cannot melt enough material, speed must be reduced to prevent under-extrusion and poor layer bonding.

Materials

Suitable for non-abrasive filaments. Filled or abrasive materials require a nozzle made from a wear-resistant material.
